New nematogenic structures

New nematogenic compounds are developed combining known structural

elements in the rigid molecular core, the bridging   groups, flexible chains and polar end groups.

A few examples of commonly known molecular building elements are:

In addition new building elements are researched. By their combination the physical properties required in displays as

- optical anisotropy

- dielectric anisotropy

- viscosity coefficients

- elastic constants

- holding ratio

- temperature range of the nematic phase

can be matched.
